Great place to have dinner the Waiter was vary professional and Courteous the food was vary good large Portions you must have the Thai sweet tea it's good

Absolutely recommended! Great flavors and fresh ingredients. Pho is a must have on a cold day with some hot fresh egg rolls!

On Tuesday December 8, 2020 me and my 17 month old son along with a few friends were dining at Viet Thai Bistro in Alexandria LA. I do not feed my 17 month old son as he prefers to eat on his own, I also do not want to spoil him so have decided to allow him to feed himself as he prefers to. My husband agrees with our son feeding himself. My son does tend to make a bit of a mess when he eats as he is learning the new food taste and textures. Myself and my friends that were dining at the time are all Asian. At the end of the meal the owner said that I should beat my son while he clean up the floor because of the mess that my 17 month old son had made. I asked a friend that was sitting next to me what he said to confirm that I had heard him correctly. She also stated that she heard him say “Beat”. I responded to the owner that I would not “Beat” my son, and why should I? The owner then went quite. I asked the owner again why he said that I should "Beat" a 17 month old child for making a small mess. At the time his Son came to the table and said that his Father had not said “Beat” but had said “Teach”. Then the Owner said no, what I said was “Feed”. I responded “First of all I teach my 17 Month old Child to eat by himself , why should I feed him to not make a mess?” To which the owner responded “You do not understand English”. And I said we will not come here anymore , and The owner said "Good , thanks. You don't understand English". He simply don't want to say Sorry !!!!!! This was not my first experience of rudeness of the owner of the Viet Thai Bistro in Alexandria LA. When myself and other Asian friends go there. This owner has thrown the straws onto the table, and when I ordered a soup he said "That's it ?, taking so long to see the menu" , once when I asked for chopsticks he said "Do you know how to use them?". When I dine with my husband there whom is not Asian this Owner treats us much better. I also should say that the Son of the Owner has always been very nice a respectful no matter whom I am dining with. We support small businesses in Alexandria LA by eating at mostly local restaurants. However, when faced with such rudeness Myself and family have decided to no longer dine at VIET THAI BISTRO in Alexandria LA.

I have been to alot of thai, viet places. Next time I'll be trying the pho to see if that is top notch as well. Pad thai was great, drunken and the curry was great, and sesame chicken had just the right thickness and sweetness to the sauce, would recommend and will be returning ? when in the area again

OH. MY. GOODNESS. So, I have never tried curry, and was dying to finally try it, and remembered about this little place. Every flavor in the curry is distinct. The service was wonderful, and everything was fresh. 10 out of 10, will definitely eat again. Thank you guys so much.

I understand dining room being closed due to COVID but Google says the restaurant is open for dining and the gentleman taking takeout orders was kind of rude. I understand times are stressful but I prefer to be treated like a human

Great sesame chicken and very clean

Enjoyed the food. Good mix (Thai and some Vietnamese options). Had my favorite Thai dish (Pad Thai). Was not disappointed.

This place was amazing. Very quiet environment where you can sit down and relax. It looks very clean and elegant. Also a perfect place for someone looking for vegetarian options in Alexandria. The waitress told me you can substitute almost any meat with a veggie or tofu and she was right, and they’re all delicious. Me and my coworker went, she got pho and the waiter came and showed her the best way to have it and she said it was delicious. Put waitress told us most customers are regulars and I can see why. I’m going right after I get off of work lol.

I got the laarb and it’s delicious. Asked for “Asian” spicy and it’s great. I do wish it came with cabbage leaves instead of lettuce but it’s still delicious. Hopefully in the future they’ll offer pork and not just beef. I don’t come here often enough. Everything I’ve ordered from here has been great!

I gave this eatery one more chance... Roast Duck Noodle Soup and I loved it! Service is slow and all the coniments should be on table, I got tired asking for Soy Sauce, Blk Pepper and Sriracha!! This visit I give 3 Stars

Bad service in the food what our no like it the price is so high for the quality of the food??

My girlfriend and I ordered the roast duck and the pad Thai. I'm from a pretty remote part of the US and this was the first time I'd ever had pad Thai and it was really good! But it was overshadowed by the duck. :) The waiter was also very polite and the prices for the amount of food were reasonable.

So much deliciousness! Fresh, full flavor and wonderful range of spicy. Never had a bad dish. Great, friendly service that seems family owned. A hidden gem ? SO worth it! Seriously, it’s divine.

Dude. Best thing in this town. So delicious and great, very considerate service. Also their contemporary music piano covers are fun for a game of trivia.

Not somewhere I would eat again. The food was mediocre. Service was okay...our server was friendly. We saw a couple roaches which I know all restaurants likely have but it was still kind of unappetizing to have one at our feet during our meal. Anyway, aside from that simply put it just isn't worth returning for. I prefer Noodles & Grill 100 times over.

Crab rangoon tasted homemade and the drunken noodles were very good. This place is solid!

Very tasty. Crab rangoon was awesome and sesame chicken was delicious. Had a little chicken left over I took to go and the waitress got me more rice to go with it without me even asking. A little pricey but I did get two things so I could've honestly just spent less if I wanted.
